Georgia - SB 218 - 2017

Relating to identification and regulation of motor vehicles, so as to provide for definitions; to provide for the operation of autonomous vehicles without the presence of a human driver upon satisfaction of certain conditions; to require such vehicles to comply with federal and state equipment laws; to provide for registration and titling of such vehicles; to provide for exemption from liability for certain parties when a motor vehicle has been converted to an autonomous vehicle; to provide for the reporting of accidents involving an autonomous vehicle; to provide for related matters; to repeal conflicting laws; and for other purposes.
