Nevada - SB 392 - 2017

Relating to energy; revising provisions relating to payment of incentives to certain participants in the Solar Energy Systems Incentive Program, the Wind Energy Systems Demonstration Program and the Waterpower Energy Systems Demonstration Program; requiring the Public Utilities Commission of Nevada to adopt regulations establishing standards for the operation of community solar gardens; requiring a subscriber to a community solar garden to receive a credit on the subscriber’s monthly utility bill for the subscriber’s share of the electricity generated by the community solar garden; requiring a utility to submit a plan to the Commission for the purchase of the unsubscribed electricity of a community solar garden; requiring the Commission to issue portfolio energy credits to a subscriber organization that installs a community solar garden; providing that such portfolio energy credits are the property of the subscriber organization; repealing provisions requiring an electric utility to create a Lower Income Solar Energy Pilot Program; and providing other matters properly relating thereto.
